The Stanton

My new couch... I Love it... Big and comfy... The Stanton

More House Pics

PLAYROOMTamra and I worked all day yesterday organizing the kids playroom (just so they can mess it up ;). We are very proud of our accomplishment and I wish I had taken before pictures to show what an accomplishment it was. One of the bedrooms was full of all the toys and we went through and organized every bin and bucket and cleared out the entire room. I'm so grateful that Tamra is willing to help cause it's not as much fun when you have to do it alone. Thanks Tam for a fun day of organizing with our crazy kiddos underfoot. Next we'll have to decorate it!! We'll wait till the kids are in bed for that one.

BASEMENT

Not much to say, it's a basement. But a much cleaner basement than when we started, no toys strewn about.

Feet First

Our little girl has learned how to
venture down the stairs on her own.
She is so funny, she scoots down across the flat floor until she finds
steps and then she goes all the way
down feet first. What a smart little
cookie! (that's her favorite word
by the way). Look how proud she is
at the end!

Dustin and I

Well we are finally in our dream home. Still under construction, so that's my excuse for the mess. It's hard to keep things clean when you have men in and out of your house all day long. (note the puzzle table on the left side, meant to have a puzzle going at all times, currently one that is 1,500 pieces, you can come help if you wish)

Looking toward the Front Entry (nice ladder in the way)

Kitchen/Family Area

Master Bedroom (at least the bed is made)

Master Bathroom (no tub in the middle of the floor anymore)

We are so happy to be in our home blogging again and so grateful to all that helped us along through this long journey. We have been so blessed to have such a wonderful place to lay our heads each night. We love our wonderful family that has helped so much with moving to watching the kids to feeding us and much, much more. How could we ever thank you all?

Embry

What can I say, she's so dang cute!! She makes us laugh everyday and is always learning a new word.

She wants to do exactly what her older brothers and sister do.

Embry learned how to walk the day before Christmas Eve. I always said that I didn't want her to walk until we moved into our new house and she took her first steps the day we moved in.

She loves babies and carries her's all over the house, she is already such a girl!

But most of all she loves her daddy, where ever daddy is you will find Embry. She loves to help him with all the jobs around the house and if she can't find him you will hear her little voice yelling "Dada, Dada".

Brody

My little Brod. He is always telling me that I look pretty and that I am the best! What a charmer. I know he really means it though and that's what is so sweet about the little buddy!

He really loves our new home, but sometimes I lose him in it. Just the other day I was in a panic because I couldn't find him. I was running through the house screaming his name and he was not answering. I searched every room and was about to go outside when I found him sleeping in the theater. (With all the unpacking I sometimes forget naptime.)

Still has a sweet tooth!!! This is the sugar cookie he frosted on Christmas eve, I think he used every color of frosting and every sprinkle that was available.

Brody adores his little sister! They are best buds when the other kids are at school. I love to watch them interact. By the look on his face can you tell what a happy kid he is????

Kenley

Little Miss Kenley absolutely loves having her own very pink room. It's always a disaster and clothes are all over the floor. We're going to have to get into a rountine and take care of that!

One of her favorite things is hanging out with her cousins. They have their own little band and they make up band names and songs. It is the cutest thing. Some of the bands names that they have come up with are, Girls just wanna have fun and Rock Star Girls.

For Christmas Kenley and Embry got a kitchen set and they both love it. Although I think Brody likes to make dinner for mom more than they do.

Kenley has done a lot in the past two or three months but her biggest accomplishment was that she lost her first tooth and was visited by the tooth fairy. She looks so cute with a missing tooth.

Brock

Brock has really been enjoying the new house. He can play xbox 360, game cube, DS and Gameboy in pretty much any room of the house.

For Christmas he got a new bike and really enjoys his freedom riding around the neighborhood with his cousin Caden.

He also got Guitar Hero for Christmas and has almost mastered the guitar. Most days I can hear the music coming up the stairway from the basement.

Most of all Brock likes to play laser tag and hide and seek in our new home. He loves to hide and scare his younger brother and sisters. I think he really enjoys his new room (all to himself) and even though he won't admit it I think he loves that he gets to wake up on his own every morning to his own alarm clock.

WE'RE BAAAACK!

We finally have internet and I can blog from my own computer, YEA!! I feel like I am so behind on life! I really should be packing, but I have this idea in my head that if I get caught up on my blogging then I will be able to unpack with a level head. Yeah, right! Well I thought that I would do a major update on our family and the house and then I'll feel like I can get back into a regular posting rountine. We'll see how that works!

We are alive and kickin'

WOW! It's been a month and a half since I last posted! So much has happened since then. We moved!! We finally have a home of our own, the reason I have not posted! We love our home soooo much, but we call it the money pit. If you have seen the movie you know that as soon as they get something fixed, something else falls apart. We have had such a struggle with this house and even though we live in it now, it is not complete and everyday we seem to find something else that is not working. Don't get me wrong we are sooooo greatful to be where we are and to have our beautiful home. Dustin and I just joke and wonder if it will ever be finished. Hence, the not posting and the no internet at our home. We found out two weeks ago that the conduit that is supposed to help run the phone and internet wires to our house is crushed, no wires can come through. So who knows when that will get fixed and when we will have a phone and internet hook up. Hopefully soon so I can get to posting regularly again. Oh, do I miss it! I have so many things to share and pictures to post. And guess what, Our little Embry girl is walking! Yep, she just got up and took off the 23rd of December. She's a pro now and rarely falls, unless she is overly tired. Well I know I am rambling, trying to get to much in one post. I'll post more soon, I hope, and add some pictures!
