Why do they have to grow up so fast?

Little miss Kenley got a retainer. Doesn't that come after braces, you may ask? Well in her case she has one front tooth that has an overbite and one that has an underbite. The dentist was concerned that she might chip or break a tooth if she continued to bite that way. We were referred to an orthodontist and this is what we can home with...

She kinda talks with a slur and is getting used to having something in her mouth all the time. Yep, I said all the time, she has to wear it 24 hours a day. She can only take it out to eat and brush her teeth. She's only had one mishap so far. The other day she had it on her lunch tray in a napkin and threw it away. She didn't remember until she was in line to go back to class. She told her teacher and luckily it was still in the top of the trash and she found it. That would have been an expensive piece of garbage. For the most part she is really responsible with it and does everything the doctor told her to do.

We think you look cute little miss!

We added one more to our crazy family...

Her name is Reese

She has chocolate brown hair

She sleeps through the night

And we all love her to pieces...

She's a puppy of course! Dustin and I have always wanted a chocolate Lab and when my brothers dog had puppies we just couldn't resist. Tatum loves her too, she treats her like she's her very own puppy. Reese never whined through the night cause she had Tatum right there to cuddle with. They are buddies and Reese follows Tatum all over the yard. We have a dog carrier that we transport Tatum in on trips and they both sleep in it together all snuggled up at night. This is how I find them sleeping during the day.

Someone should really clean up that porch/backyard! Gross!!

So very honest

This morning as I was getting ready for the day Brody comes in and says,

Brod: "Mom you have a big bum"

Me (sarcastically): "Oh, thanks Brody, that was nice"

Brod (feeling bad): "Just kidding, it's not really big"

Dustin (from around the corner): "Don't worry about it, he would say it even if you weren't pregnant, you're a big person"

WHAT?!?

Me (continuing with the sarcasm): "Oh great, thanks"

Dustin: "No, you know what I meant you're a grown-up all bums look big to a five year old"

Me: "Ha, Ha, very funny, nice try"

Those two...what am I gonna do with them?

I've been a busy lady...

I have a list a mile long in my head of things that must be done before the baby comes!

-all five kids rooms decorated (that includes the baby)
-playroom decorated
-all boxes unpacked
-cupboards organized
-all windows washed (inside and out)
-intercom system bought and installed
-speaker system throughout the house installed (we have the stuff, just gotta do it)
...and the list goes on, but you get the point right?

Well I decided to tackle the list since I only have 3 months left and that's a lot to do. So for the past two days I've been unpacking boxes. I've found numerous treasures and my kids feel like it's Christmas all over again.

I've been feeling bad for little E, she loves to play with the girls little kitchen set (fridge, stove and sink), but all we have is food. No dishes to put the food on or pots and pans to cook the food in. And I refuse to buy any cause we have them, they're just in a box... somewhere!
Last night I found that box, Yippee! And today I hear little E calling me from downstairs,
"Mama, dinner is ready!"
Down the stairs I go and this is what I find...

So the list will have to wait, cause we're gonna play kitchen!

Super Bowl...

THIS...

AND THIS...

+ THIS...

= A REALLY GREAT PARTY
to bad they didn't win. It was a really great heart stopping game, ton's of fun. At times we were screeming while jumping up and down and clapping! And then at times there was silence. We had a great time anyway! Maybe next year...
