Yep it's true!

Happy Halloweeeeen

This time of year is so busy for us and it seems to get busier ever year. First we had Brody's preschool party. All his classmates were so cute all dressed up.

Then a night of carving pumpkins, I think we did five total. Our sweet home teachers brought us a pumpkin for each kid to carve. Since Embry was too big to fit inside a pumpkin this year (not really) and already had to do it last year (not very happy about it) she got to participate in the carving. Kenley and Brock did their own pumpkins (the actual cleaning out and carving part) this year and were very proud of the outcome.

Halloween morning started off with the making of treats for Dustin's office party. Witches hats and broom sticks. You can find the were I got the idea here.

The two younger kiddos and I went and had lunch with them and they all dressed up like this.

Dustin dressed up as a redneck, he actually had me paint his neck with red paint. Then off to Kenley's school Halloween parade. She was Hannah Montana and picked her costume from her closet. She loved getting all dressed up for her friends at school.

Finally it was time to TRICK OR TREAT. This year I vowed not to buy a single costume, so with one borrowed, one out of the Halloween past year costume box and two lets get creative with stuff we already have costumes we were out the door. (Brody did wear his mask trick or treating, I guess he just wanted us to know it was really him in the picture.) Kenley used her Hannah Montana guitar purse as her candy bag, I thought that was very creative.

When the bags were full we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's for our yearly Halloween picture. It's fun that all the Johnson cousins can spend some part of Halloween together. Aren't Thing 1 and Thing 2 just adorable?

Singing Ladybug

We've had this toy since Brock was born. He used to go up to it push the button and dance like crazy to the music. I have such fond memories of him as a toddler dancing away to his singing ladybug. Every kid since has thoroughly enjoyed the ladybug.

As Tamra and I prepared for a garage sale I came across our little ladybug in the pile to sell. I pushed the button and those familiar songs started playing, I couldn't bare to sell it. Embry had never experienced the ladybug and the thought of her never getting the chance broke my heart. So, we kept the ladybug and she loves it...just like the others!

Sooo... My computer is on the blink! Literally, it turns on, I try to log on and it turns itself off and then back on again, in a blink. AHHHHH, I can hardly stand it. I know this sounds horrible but I feel like my computer is my life-line. I blog, pay bills, handle all my RS secretary calling business (which is a ton), discovered facebook (new development) and am loving it, and check emails, which are numerous. I can handle not doing most of those things until I get it fixed, but all my Relief Society stuff really can't be put on hold. I am really having anxiety about this. Hopefully within the week I'll have it fixed and be back to work, organizing away as the secretary. In the meantime I have the laptop to keep connected with the world and check my emails. Can't promise any pictures, they are all on my computer, I only hope I can retrieve them and that not all is lost. Any advice from computer experts would be greatly appreciated.

The worst thing of all is that Dustin had been telling me for weeks to back up all my stuff, he had a feeling that the computer was going to crash. Well my lesson has been learned, always listen to your husband! And I will always back up my stuff. Especially my pictures!

Okay, we loved it so much we had to go back...

THANK YOU BOWEN'S

The Bowen's invited us to go with them to Rocky Point October 1st thru the 5th. We had the best time. Brody's already asking when we get to go back. I have so many favorite memories and pictures from our trip. I'm gonna post my most favorites and the rest I'll put in a slide show at the end. So, just a warning:

REALLY LONG POST AHEAD...

These boys had so much fun hanging out together, Bridon is not in this picture but he was right along with them all the other times. This is typical of Danner, I think he asked them to sit on him.

Embry Lynn had so much fun getting all sandy and then going in the ocean to wash off. She was so good all weekend, the only times she complained was when she had to go to bed.

The kiddos kept up the Johnson tradition and made Mr. O. We weren't able to make it very big because the tide comes is so fast during the day.

Dustin had me point to where we were staying so we would never forget and when we come back in 10 years we will remember that one time we went with the Bowen's 10 years ago and this is where we stayed.

Lindsey and I tried our best to be sexy for our husbands in the ocean, but really what's the point when you have all your kiddos staring at you from the beach?

We played CRL with the kids one afternoon and I laughed and loved every minute. To play the game each person gets three of one item, in this case pieces of bubble gum. You roll the dice and follow what they say; R=right, L=left, C=center and a dot=do nothing. So you pass to the right, left, put in the center or do nothing. At the end of the game the last person left with bubble gum gets the pot in the center.

This was the pot at the end of the game. We decided to add a twist and say the person that won had to put every piece of gum in their mouth at one time. Fat chance, right?

This was the Winner. He managed to get 11 pieces in his mouth at once. Then of course everyone else had to try (see pictures in the slide show).

It was bitter sweet when it came time to pack up and leave. We were excited to get back home and sleep in our own beds, but didn't want to end the fun times. I think we'll have to make this a yearly tradition.

Until next year! See ya there Bowens

Home-made Pizza

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of pizza. I do however love my SIL's home-made pizza. She invited the kids and I over a while ago (Dustin and Brock, Eric and Caden out of town) to make our own pizza's and we had a blast. I think the reason I like my pizza home-made is that I can put whatever I want on my own pizza (sauce and cheese), I've been known to be a picky eater. Everyone made their own pizza, even little miss E, she could hardly believe that I was letting her touch the messy stuff. Kenley decorated her pizza with a peperoni smiley face and Brody was just sauce and cheese please, plain and simple just like his mommy.

What good is home-made pizza without a dessert pizza, Brody and Danielle (the sweeties) made sure that was taken care of.

I can't get enough of this sweet face, what a blessing to live so close to family.

With bellies fully of yummy Aunt Tenay pizza what better to do than watch a movie. We had a great time and loved every minute. My favorite was snuggling with those scrumptious twins!

That time of year again

Yep! It's soccer time. I love this time of year, cause I know it's the start of the holidays, my favorite time. This year is much more calm for us. Last year we had three kids in soccer and Saturdays were pure agony trying to get from one game to the next, remembering who had snack which day and spending the entire Saturday frying in the Arizona heat! This year Brock was the only one that decided to play and the weather has been extremely nice, that may have a lot to do with our game times, 8:45 and 7:30 am. Whatever the reason, we have really enjoyed watching Brock play this year. Now we just need to figure out how to get a little fire under his bum so he can score a goal.
