Random Husbands

Okay let's do this, how many of you have random husbands also?? Here's Dustin's random facts:

1. He hates when someone (Me) puts a wet towel on the bed. When we were only married a couple months he told me that he hated when I put my wet towel from the shower on the bed. That never happened again.

2. He never eats leftovers unless it's roast or stew, his two favorite meals.

3. He is a major germ freak, when I first met his family they were shocked that he drank out of my cup. All growing up he would never drink or eat after some else, until he met me, must be true love.

4. Dustin has broke his big toe nail on his right foot completely off 4 times in 3 years while playing basketball. Its pretty gross but the kids get a kick out of it.

5. He is right handed but when he was young he found out he was left eye dominant, because he is such an avid hunter he taught himself to shoot left handed. The funny thing is that he has never owned a left handed gun until this year.

6. He has an addictive personality, he will do something everyday until he gets sick of it and then it's no longer an addiction. Here are some of his addictions:
-Neilsons frozen custard vanilla concrete with brownie on top (everyday)
-lemon pie from whataburger (everyday) (I didn't even know that one)
-chicken wings from the vine, plain, every Tuesday
-his current addiction is oatmeal crisp cereal, he even went to the store the other night at 9pm cause we were out of milk, so he could have his cereal
-dr pepper and beef jerky on all our road trips in college
-Xbox and computer games
-UFC (has to order every one)

7. Dustin absolutely loves babies, when our youngest kid is three months old he wants me to get pregnant so that we can always have a child in the baby stage (he hasn't convinced me of that yet). He loves to chew on them and tells them that he wants to eat their chicken bones (their arms or legs) One year for Father's Day Dustin's mom asked the kids a bunch of questions about their dad and put it on paper for them. When Brody was asked what his Dad likes to eat he said: "My dad likes to eat kids". What a great daddy.

Well there you go, that's Dustin's randomness. Come on ladies lets hear it...

RANDOM

Well I've been encouraged by my sister-in-law LaChae to post seven random facts about myself. I've been out of town and have soooo much to post and no time to do it because we are leaving again on Thursday but everyone has time for 7 random facts, so here they are:

1. I can only wash my laundry Tide laundry detergent and Downy Mountain Spring softener. I love the smell and can't use anything else. I also wash my youngest's clothes in Dreft detergent until I have another baby.

2. I usually have my clothes hanging color coded in my closet. I say usually because I am living with my in-laws and sharing a closet with my husband and baby so it's really hard to stay organized.

3. I listen to the Edge 103.9, I really enjoy Chuck Powell's humor.

4. I love to do puzzles, in fact in my new house I will have a puzzle table. A table that will always have a puzzle going at all times, so that when I can't sit down to a whole puzzle at least I can put in a piece here and there.

5. My favorite smells are: rain, sunblock, Tide and Downy Mountain Spring (fresh laundry), my newborn baby's breath, homemade cookies, and vanilla and cinnamon Gold Canyon Candles.

6. I really don't like when someone bounces their knee under a table and it shakes the table.

7. I just made my first purchase on Ebay, toilets for my house.

Well that was fun. I would love to hear from the rest of you!!

Brock's Day

Brock was baptized on 7/7/07, what a day!!! We are so proud of him and his decision to be baptized. He has grown up so fast, wow I must be old, where did the time go. Brock was able to be baptized on the same day as his cousin Caden. They are three weeks apart in age and have been best buddies since they were little guys. They wanted to share their special day and really enjoyed it. Brock was blessed to have many people come see him this weekend. One of the pictures shows the two families, that's a lot of great family and friends. We are so grateful for all the support and love that we are shown everyday from our families. After the baptisms we came to Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's home for lunch with all the families. We also ate yummy cake made by Grandma Johnson and Aunt Kirsi, Thank you! Brock got some really great gifts to remind him of his special day. He also got his scriptures for church, a really cool CTR ring to remind him to Choose The Right and a couple of journals to record the memories of this great day. Brock's Aunt Tenay (Caden's Mom) and I made quilts for the boys also. She had to work with me through the process since it was my first quilt. She was a great teacher and I think it turned out pretty great, I'm hooked. I want to start on Kenley's already and she is not even 6 yet.

Brock you are a great example to your brother and sisters. Your dad and I are so proud of you and your decision. I know that the choice you have made to be baptized is the right one. I know that our Father in Heaven loves you and will guide you, through the Holy Ghost, in your life. I also know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and if we follow Christ's example, as you have begun to do, we can return to live with him again. We love you so much Brock, Congratulations!

Boys Fishing Trip

Grandpa Johnson took the boys fishing this week. They woke up at 4am and went to Saguaro Lake. Brody was so big, when Dustin went to get him out of bed he jumped right up and was ready to go. Who would have thought that a three year old would be so happy to get out of bed at 4am. Everyone caught a catfish and Brock was happy to inform us all that he got the biggest one. They had a blast with their Dad, Grandpa and cousin Caden. Thank You Grandpa for a great time and a successful fishing trip!

Bootie from Nannie and Grandpa's Travels

Nannie and Grandpa Larson have been traveling all month. They went to Hawaii first and brought us these great shirts. They then went on a cruise to Alaska and brought us back some really cool toys. We are so lucky to have such great grandparents who love us so much and are always thinking of us. I think Nannie and Grandpa are glad to be home now and we were so happy to see them last night. They came to go swimming with us and we had a blast in the pool. They had to go home to Sierra Vista this morning, but we get to see them again this weekend when they come for Brock's baptism, maybe we'll get to swim again.
Our little Embry is so small that they couldn't find a shirt to fit her, so grandpa thought this cute little Hawaiian dress would be perfect for her and he was right. Doesn't she look sooooo cute. Thank you Grandpa Larson.
Isn't that the sweetest face you ever saw?
