Wanna Hunt for Eggs?

After church we baked some cookies to take to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house for dinner and the egg hunt!Youngest to oldest, the kids had to wait until Embry stepped onto the grass before they could hit the ground runnin'. Ready...Set...Search!Once Embry discovered what was in the eggs she just couldn't help herself, by the end of the day she was covered in chocolate.
Two cute girls

We might need to visit the dentist very soon.

Easter Eggs

The kids colored Easter eggs today. We started off with Embry trying to drink the egg coloring. I stopped her by saying "ahhhhhh" but then she spilled it all over her white shirt and cute blue and white pok-a-dot skirt. I guess it's not smart to leave a glass full of pink liquid on a starving childs tray, Yummy! Luckily she was wearing a bib so most of the shirt was saved, just a few pink spots that I was able to get out with bleach. However, she managed to get quite a few spots on her skirt that I can't manage to get out! Any advise, PLEASE HELP, I hate when a brand new outfit is ruined.

Brody and Kenley were so excited to color the eggs, Brock is getting a little old to color eggs and didn't think it was as exciting. Once we got started though, Brock really enjoyed himself.
Coloring eggs is one of my favorite Easter traditions! I'll take the mess, grumpiness, fighting, and chaos any day, so that I can see the look on their faces when they see the finished product!

The Last Day...

SPRING BREAK DAY 5:

The last day of spring break, we are soooo sad! Dustin took the day off to spend it with us. We got up hopped on our bikes and rode to the park, about a 6 mile round trip! I took the two little ones in the trailer on my bike and the two older ones rode their own bikes. They did so great, not one ounce of complaining, Kenley got a little tired towards the end, about the last 1/4 mile. But the most she said was I need to rest. What a little trooper!

We played at the park, stopped at Walgreen's for drinks and ate lunch at sonic! We had such a fun day. And for a perfect end to a spring break week Dustin took me out on a date! Can you say, ALONE ADULT TIME?

I really loved having the kids home all week. They are a true joy in my life, it would be so boring without them. I can't wait until summer and all the fun trips we have planned. Thanks guys for being such wonderful little people, with such big hearts!

Guitar Hero/Easter Pageant

SPRING BREAK DAY 4:

The kids and I played a little Guitar Hero. Brock and Kenley are actual rock stars, in case you haven't noticed. Brody wasn't too happy about me taking a picture of him and Embry just wanted to push the buttons! Of course I had to jam out also.

Then we went to see the Easter Pageant. We took dinner and had a picnic. As we were walking up to find a place on the grass Brody said, "I remember this place." We hadn't been for two years, I was amazed that he remembered. The kids really enjoyed it and were more interested and asked more questions than they have ever before. It's so nice to have the Easter Pageant to help us as parents teach our kiddos the importance of why we celebrate Easter. We had a great day! Dustin has the day off tomorrow, Yea! More fun to come!

Brock thought it was pretty cool that he was able to hold a "real" sword!

Ready...Set...Bowl

SPRING BREAK DAY 3:

We went bowling with some friends today! The kids had a great time. Tonight Brock came up to me and gave me a huge hug and said thank you so much for taking us bowling! It seems like they are having a good break. Here are some funny action shots that I got. Of course little miss couldn't bowl, she didn't want to get out of her stroller at first, I think she didn't quite know what to think about all the commotion. But as you can see she warmed up to the bowling atmosphere and it was hard to drag her outta there. Not sure what's planned for tomorrow but I'm sure the kiddos will have some ideas.

Just being lazy

SPRING BREAK DAY 2:
You have ALWAYS gotta have a lazy day over spring break, right!? The kids lazed around watching TV, playing the computer, hanging out with friends and just enjoying the time off! They even let me SLEEP IN until 9am! Who knows when that will happen again.

And of course, while we were all being lazy, Embry found something to get into.

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY

SPRING BREAK DAY 1:

We hope everyone is having a great St. Patricks Day. The kids are on spring break this week so we went to the park and had a picnic. They had fun running down the hills, rolling in the grass, and playing on the jungle gym. Embry had her first ride down a slide, she didn't quite know what to think about it.

Kenley loved running down the hill.

Such a silly bunch!

AND SHE'S OFF!

Dustin was so proud of himself today, he taught Kenley to ride a bike in 2.5 minutes! Too bad she was twenty before he got around to teaching her. She was so ready, she picked it up so quick and before we knew it she was riding around the neighborhood with her brother and cousins. Great job Kenley, now we need to get a bike that fits you!

P.S. Nice outfit Punky Brewster!

Sicky :(

Poor little Embry, she has been a little sicky! About a week ago she got a rash called hand, foot and mouth and it made her oh, so cranky! She got the rash around her mouth and on the bottom of her feet. She wanted to be held all day and was so sad.As she was getting over that virus she got a flu bug! Can you believe it? Poor little girl! Luckily for me she only threw up once, but it was in the car all over her car seat. If you have ever had this happen to you, you know what a pain it is to take the seat apart and wash it all.
She is now feeling better and on the run! After being sick for almost a week, I think she now feels like a new little woman!

Three of my favorite things!!!

Tide!!! I love Tide laundry detergent. Growing up my mom used it on our laundry and I love the smell, not to mention how well it cleans my clothes. Even though it is a brand name and can be expensive at times I will never buy another brand.
My Travertine Floors!!! I have travertine through most of my house. They are easy to clean, hide most crumbs and are absolutely beautiful.

My Whirlpool Frontload Washer and Dryer!!! They are so easy to load, use less detergent and have wonderful storage.

Three things I HATE...

This...
On This...Seeping under This!

My sister Tamra and her husband Jordan moved in with us this last weekend and on my way home from running an errand she called me and said, "I ruined your laundry room!" She doesn't even wait a week to start destroying my house! ;) When I got home this is what I found.
The culprit

Two hours and five minutes later

Need I say more?
