Flashback & Flashforward

Flashback: My sisters and I were in my closet looking for some clothes to wear for a family picture we are getting in a couple weeks. As we were looking through things I saw my wedding dress. I have not put it on since our wedding. So I thought "I wonder if it still fits?" I had to try it on to see, and it DID! (notice Kenley in the bottom left of the picture)

Flash forward: Kenley just had to try it on also! Wow, I know it's a long ways away but I instantly flashed forward 15 years and saw my little girl in her own wedding dress. Ahhhhh! She even said when I had the dress on "Mom that's the dress you wore when you got married, and when I get married, I'm gonna wear it too." I wanted to say, "Nope, you're gonna stay my little girl forever."

Well little miss that exciting day will come for you soon enough, but for now you are still my little girl.

Baby Hungry? Maybe Just a LITTLE!

My SIL Tenay had her sweet little boys this weekend. After 5 long days in the hospital they were able to come home today! The kids and I went over to Welcome them home. My kids hadn't seen them yet and they were really excited to meet their new cousins. We're glad you guys are finally home, we've missed you!

Caught Red Handed

Today the kids and I were searching the house frantically for Embry. We couldn't find her anywhere. I was calling her name, well screaming really, and nothing. I finally came to the pantry door...

Hmmm...that's interesting...let's look inside...

Yep girly, you're caught!

She continued to eat, so she must not have cared too much that she was caught.

Remember when...

Dustin decided to invite all his high school buddies over to the house for a UFC night. They enjoyed the fights and talking about the good o'l days. (not all friends are in the picture some showed up later)

Brody enjoyed driving Chad's wheelchair.

Nap-Time

So little Broder and I have a deal... if he will go down for a nap each weekday with out a problem he won't have to take a nap on Saturday or Sunday. Well this is Saturday night...

Must have been pretty tired to fall asleep like that!

My Kinda Girl

Most kids at this age would be afraid of a tub full of bubbles! Not my little princess. Doesn't she look so tiny in that big tub full of bubbles?

Remember the Times!

Memories
I saw this post on one of my friends blog and thought,
"That would be fun".

Here's how it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together, or one of the first memories you have of me. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Can't wait to remember with you!

A Birthday to Remember

January of last year my Dad died of cancer. We really miss him and cherish the memories that we have of him. This year we started a tradition to celebrate his birthday.

We each wrote a message, drew a picture or whatever we felt we wanted to do. Then we put them in helium balloons and sent them to heaven. We really enjoyed being together for his birthday and remembering him.

One of my Favorites

Before I start this post I have to apologize for the slide show. I know I have been using a lot of them lately and they really aren't my favorite. But it's the easiest way to put in a lot of pictures. And we have been up to alot.
Okay now I can post. One of my favorite holidays is the 4th of July! I love the fireworks, the clothes, and the spirit that is the 4th of July! This year we went to the cabin, my favorite place to be on the 4th. We go to the firework show in Heber, the best I have ever seen. We had fun with Dustin's family minus two brothers due to a brand new baby and two in the oven (twins yea!). Niki and Clayton also came up with us, my brother TJ and family and my sister Tamra and family went up North to camp and we saw them in Heber at the show. It was great to be surrounded by family.
We spent some time at the pond by the cabin, Tatum loves the water and even brought us a fish. Caden and Brock had so much fun catching bugs in their bug catcher and the girls picked flowers for mom. The weather was beautiful, makes you wonder why you live in the smoldering hot valley. We spent most daylight hours out side enjoying it. The boys rode their quad, Brock wore the helmet that Dustin wore when he was his age. The hammock was a huge hit also, very relaxing.
On Monday everyone left except our little family. Dustin wanted to show the kiddos one of his favorite places so we took a ride down to the picnic spot to "shoot rocks". Brock got his first "rock" and Kenley found out the true meaning of "shooting rocks". The kids found some writings on the rocks and loved being way up high. Brock also picked up his first crawdad, something I did all the time when I was younger. We had a great time and didn't want to leave... but Clay got his mission call and we wouldn't miss seeing him open it in person!

Little Brod

I asked Brody to go brush he's teeth, this is what I found...

I told Brody his cousin wanted him to spend the night (they live next door) and asked him to go get dressed in his jammies. He came back upstairs and said "okay mom I'm ready to have a sleep over!"

I couldn't stop laughing, the funniest thing is that he got three outfits, three pairs of jammies and three pair of underwear.

Soooo Cute! I love this boy!

It's Official!

My baby brother Clayton Bryce Larson has been called to the
Mexico Torreon Mission.
I can't believe he's old enough to go on a mission. I remember acting like his second mother at age 13 when he was born. Time sure does fly when you're having fun. He was such a fun little boy and has turned into a wonderful man. I know you will be a great missionary Clay, and the people will love you... but not as much as I do!

Catching Up

We have been doing so much playing, I haven't had any time for blogging. So it's catch up time... First I have to try out this video thing and show you all my very favorite part of the last three weeks! At my Larson Family Reunion every year we have a talent show, this year Dustin decided to participate, a huge shock to me. I was so excited that he wanted to share one of his talents with my family. If anyone knows Dustin they know he doesn't willingly perform. He loves to play his guitar, sing, dance and be silly at home...but only in front of us. So, you can imagine my jaw hitting the floor when he said he was going to perform at our annual talent show. Here's is what he did... (don't forget to pause the music)

I love it every time I hear him sing it, what a cutie! The family reunion was a blast, we spent our time at the zoo, eating, swimming, watching KungFu Panda, eating, swimming, showing off our talents, and eating some more. I look forward to the Larson reunion every year, we always have a great time and make memories to last a lifetime. This year one of my favorite things was the painting of the fingernails and toenails. Last year my cousin Ashley lost her long battle with cancer the day after our reunion. We were able to spend a wonderful last reunion with her and she came with her toenails painted a bright blue. So this year all the girls painted their finger and toenails that same bright blue color in her memory. Dustin even painted his toenails (wish I would have got a picture), what a sweet heart.

After we got home from the reunion Dustin and I decided to take our kiddos to Arizona Grand Resort to play for the weekend. We felt that we had gone so many places without them this summer, so we wanted to spend some time together just our little family. We had a great time, lazin' by the pool, drinkin' lemonade, ordering "Room Service", relaxing in the lazy river, speeding down the water slides, surfing in the wave pool and enjoying each others company. Our room had a room with two queen beds and a family room area with a pull out bed. Well Dustin had the "Grand" idea to let the kids have the two queen beds and we would take the pull-out sofa bed, he said we could close the door and have a room to ourselves. Well I slept all weekend with a spring in my back and came home with major lower back pain, anything to make our kiddos comfortable. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and left from there to go to church on Sunday! What a fun weekend! Thanks for all the fun memories. I love you guys!
