Little Miss Hadley Gene

She finally made it... and we love having her. She was born Saturday morning May 23rd @ 8:53am and weighed 6lbs 15 ozs, 20 inches long. The kids think she is the cutest thing in the world. I often hear, she's so tiny, she's so cute, look at her tiny hands... They were able to come to the hospital both days that we were there to see us. The second day they had on shirts that my mom and sister Niki made for them, the cutest things ever. Brock's said Big Big Brother, Kenley's said Big Big Sister, Brody's said Big Brother and Embry's said Big Sister. I thought they were so cute. They also brought a onesie for Haddie that said Baby. It's been fun having her home and getting to cuddle her and love on her and like always I can't believe that she fit in my belly. We think she has Brody's cheeks & nose, Kenley's mouth and her daddy's eyes... we'll see what we think in a month or two, they change so much. She has such a pleasant happy face, she looks like she's about to smile at you any second, I wonder what she's thinking.

Here are some pictures of her first days of life...

I guess she wanted me to be 33...

So my baby ticker says it's go time.

I guess the baby doesn't agree

I had contractions all night long

I think she's teasing me

All the laundry is done

The calendar is free

When will she get here

Will she come in time to say Happy Birthday to me?

I didn't mean for this to be a rhyme, silly I know, It just kinda turned into that. Any predictions out there? I would love to hear when you think she will come grace us with her presence.

Schooooools out for the summer

I went to the kiddos school today for their last day! They didn't do any work, just party. I wonder sometimes why they even make them go, just to say goodbye I guess. I got some pictures with their friends and teachers. The best part of the day was when I heard Brock say to Kenley, "Come on Kenley, I'm gonna go play it." I was wondering, play what and then from the basement I hear him playing Guitar Hero's "Schools out for the summer". I loved it!

Disclaimer: the pictures are really out of order, I don't know why I can't move them.

Kenley's teacher: Ms. Gourley
Brock's teacher: Ms. Keegan

Finally...

The Nursery... it's DONE... well enough to post some pictures! I feel like I've talked about it so long that it should be something spectacular when in reality it's just a decorated room. So here it is you can judge for yourself...

Now we are ready for her

The question is...

is she ready for us?

Who remembers these???

My mom used to make me wear them, and now Kiki begs me to put them in her hair. And of course little E wants to be just like her big sister. Don't they look so cute?

Saturday is a special day it's the day you get ready for Sunday!

39 weeks...

Everyone's probably sick of seeing these pictures, sorry but for journaling sake I've gotta record it. The belly's gettin' bigger. The bum is gettin' fatter. And the face is gettin' fuller. What do you do but just endure, it'll be over soon, right?

Our first graduate of the year...

Mr. BD did it! He graduated from preschool yesterday! He has learned so much going to Ms. Allison's preschool class! He has loved every minute and never once complained about going to school. I am so glad we were blessed to find her. As Brody was packing up his things to leave he got a little sad knowing he wouldn't be coming back. That's when you know that you have a great teacher! I can't wait to send little E, she will love it!

Little E's Curtains

I wanted Little E to have black curtains the same style as what are in Kiki's room. I couldn't find them anywhere and the ones that I did find that might work were $255.00. So I decided to make them myself.

Total cost: approx. $25

Next goal, learn how to make dresses for my girlies!

Just call us the Scorpion King and Queen

Dustin got stung yesterday afternoon in our garage while trying to find a box for me. I'm really thinking we need to leave those last few boxes packed and find a new place to dwell.

A girl will do what a girl wants to do

My sweet little E decided about 2 1/2 weeks ago that she didn't want to wear a diaper anymore. Her older sister did the same thing at 20 months old. I wanted to try some panties on her just to see if they would fit since she's so tiny. Well they did and she didn't want to part with them from that time on. So she's a big girl now, no diapers, whether I like it or not.

I do have to say that she has only had 2 or 3 accidents with pee pee and not one with poo, yea for me. She must have been ready to be the big sister! It really has been a blessing even though I hadn't planned to start until after the baby got here. Now I only have to buy diapers for one little one.

Nesting...

So I guess you can call this nesting

I keep having this feeling that I won't be able to get anything done once the baby gets here

So I am trying to get all projects finished

Last night I made this cute necklace for the girls and matching bracelet for little E. I see them at the scrapbook store and online and they are like $30-$50, so I made my own, it was under $10

And these tin magnet boards are so fun for the kiddos rooms, they can display what ever they want, I've only done the girls, the boys will have to wait until after the baby, that may be a while...

What have we been up to?

We've been busy decorating the girls rooms before the baby comes. Kenley's has been done for a while minus a few finishing touches. But now that the crown moulding is up I can post it.

Little E's room is still lacking curtains (I'm making them, almost done) and some decorations on the wall, but you get the picture.

As far as the nursery is concerned...it still needs crown moulding before I can post any pictures. It is painted and setting in the garage, maybe it will get put up tonight, I sure hope so. Stay tuned...

Oobleck

What is oobleck you might ask?

Well it's two parts cornstarch, one part water.

Brock came home from school and said I have a great activity for FHE. He and Kenley learned in school that it makes a solid and if you let it sit it turns into liquid form but if you keep playing with it, it will stay firm. If you tap your finger on the top it won't go through but if you let your finger sit on the top it will sink in.

So now here you have it oobleck...

Little E was afraid to touch it

They other kiddos didn't have a problem at all touching it

Our Saturday...what a day!

Saturday May 2, 2009

7:30am - Temple to seal my Dad to his parents
11:00am - Brock's Football game
12:00pm - Brody to cousin Jehryn's Birthday party
1:00pm - Kenley to friend Alexis's Baptism
2:50pm - Brody to Let's Play Music End of the Year Program
4:15pm - Kenley to Let's Play Music End of the Year Program
6:00pm - Dinner with family at El Ricos (YUMMY)

Needless to say I was not able to change from the dress I wore to the Temple until I got home at 7:30pm. Twelve hours in a dress and hills, not great on a pregnant woman's body!

The Temple was wonderful. I love sealings, it helps you remember your own sealing. It was such a blessing to be able to participate in my Dad's. He past away 2 years ago and my Aunt Barbie (my Dad's sister in the picture below) helped us so much in getting his work done. She and her daughter Robin were able to come to share the day with us. My parents were also able to come and do some sealings with us. It was great to be in the Temple with my brother and sister, sharing something that has been so important to us for so many years. I remember as kids we would write our testimonies in Book of Mormons and give them to my Dad in hopes that one day he would come back to the church. Before he died he was doing all he could to come back and just didn't have enough time. It was such a great feeling to sit in the Temple and know that all his blessings had been restored and know that is what he wanted.

Only 2 1/2 more weeks!!! Can you tell we are a little excited?

Brock's football game was a great one! We have not had a very good season. Even though they have not won a game they still go out there and try their best. Brock has really enjoyed playing and it shows. He pays attention, watches and learns. His coach saw it as well and started to play him more. Through the season Brock had a couple near touch downs, but never quite got there. Well, that was until Saturday May 2nd, 2009. He scored his first touch down with only 2 seconds left in the game. They won their first game and Brock was beaming from ear to ear! I got a few pictures of the beginning of his run but got too excited that I started jumping up and down and forgot to keep snapping. His face as he walks over to us after the game says it all. I love that our little Kiki is so excited for him also.

Let's Play Music, I love the program!!! Miss Chanda is a great teacher. I can't believe how much Kenley has learn in the last three years. She ended the year composing her own song and playing it from memory. She really did a great job! Brody started his first year this year and played the bells in his program. They sang a bunch of fun songs that help them to learn rhythms and sounds of notes and chords. Before we left Brody said "I'm worried I might have stage fright". It was so cute, he got right up there though and had not a worry in the world. They both did so good preforming.

It was a crazy day and I was pooped by the end but I loved every minute!
