One Month Old

I can hardly believe my little girl is a month old. The time sure does fly. So much has happened in a month...

She got baby acne, that's never fun

She sleeps a lot, what a good girl! She eats every 3 to 3 1/2 hours and naps for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours between each feeding. She sleeps between 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours in a row each night, wakes up to eat and then sleeps another 3 to 4 hours. The nights I get 6 1/2 hours I'm feeling good, hopefully those start to come more often.

All that sleeping and eating is sure helping her grow, we find out on Friday but I'm pretty sure she's close to nine pounds.

Those tiny hands and feet are so sweet

She lost her belly cord and has such a cute little button now! Growing out of newborn diapers, smiling at our voices, discovering her voice, having poopy explosions (not my favorite - there's been two in the past two days and that stuff really stains, I really think we need to move to size one diapers); to you these things may seem like nothing, but to us they're everything!

We love you little Haddie

They think he's the greatest

I am now a mother of five,

and they all absolutely love their Daddy!

Even the newest addition,

her eyes light up when he talks to her,

she turns to his voice,

she adores him already!

I don't blame her,

we are all so lucky to have him.

Happy Fathers Day Dustin,

here are some of our favorite moments...

Our first getaway...

...with all FIVE kiddos.

We went to the cabin for the weekend.

It was nice to get away...

...but now I'm paying for it.

can you say laundry????

but we had fun

and the laundry can always wait...

We went to the pond to fish, it was a little windy outside so we had to bundle up the baby! She didn't seem to mind the wind, she slept the whole time. The kids had a fun time fishing, the boys went back two more times they loved it so much. Little E found the chocolate treats that Grandma brought to snack on. She looked like a little cat with chocolate whiskers. We love the cabin, it's such a nice place to get away!

Dance Camp

Kenley got to go to my cousin's dance camp this year for four days and they had a recital for the families on the last day. Her three girl cousins and a friend went also. She loved that she knew the lady in charge and told everyone that Melanie was my cousin so that means she's her cousin also. She won three ribbons, one for coming, 2nd place for her toe touch and 1st place in the drill down. She loved it and wants to take classes now! To see class information check it out here.

Brock's Party

Brock had a great time at his party! He had a swimming party at G&G Johnson's home. We had lots of cake, lots of balloons, lots of ice cream, lots of swimming and lots of fun! His friends that came were: Adam, Talon, Dawson, Caden, Brandon and Jake. We were also lucky to have Dustin's cousin from Finland and her two kids be there. The kids were perfectly content swimming and playing in the pool the whole time. Hope you had a great party Brock, We Love You!

Happy Birthday Buddy!!!

Today our oldest turned 10!!! WOW are we old! Last night we went to dinner to celebrate and I was remembering the day 10 years ago when Dustin was out coyote hunting for the evening and I was at home having to use the bathroom every 2 minutes. After about 4 trips to the potty I started thinking, maybe my water is broke? I got Dustin on the phone, he came home and away we went to the hospital. Our little boy was born the next morning @ 7:14.

At 10 Brock loves Baukugan, basketball, football, battling his dad on xbox 360, wearing "cool" clothes, fruit roll ups, hot Cheetos, swimming, hunting, air soft guns, keeping the birds off the newly seeded lawn with the air soft gun, teasing Kenley, watching basketball with his dad, WOW (world of warcraft), webkins and his friends.

We love you buddy, hope you had a great birthday!!

Little Miss Hadley Gene

She finally made it... and we love having her. She was born Saturday morning May 23rd @ 8:53am and weighed 6lbs 15 ozs, 20 inches long. The kids think she is the cutest thing in the world. I often hear, she's so tiny, she's so cute, look at her tiny hands... They were able to come to the hospital both days that we were there to see us. The second day they had on shirts that my mom and sister Niki made for them, the cutest things ever. Brock's said Big Big Brother, Kenley's said Big Big Sister, Brody's said Big Brother and Embry's said Big Sister. I thought they were so cute. They also brought a onesie for Haddie that said Baby. It's been fun having her home and getting to cuddle her and love on her and like always I can't believe that she fit in my belly. We think she has Brody's cheeks & nose, Kenley's mouth and her daddy's eyes... we'll see what we think in a month or two, they change so much. She has such a pleasant happy face, she looks like she's about to smile at you any second, I wonder what she's thinking.

Here are some pictures of her first days of life...

I guess she wanted me to be 33...

So my baby ticker says it's go time.

I guess the baby doesn't agree

I had contractions all night long

I think she's teasing me

All the laundry is done

The calendar is free

When will she get here

Will she come in time to say Happy Birthday to me?

I didn't mean for this to be a rhyme, silly I know, It just kinda turned into that. Any predictions out there? I would love to hear when you think she will come grace us with her presence.

Schooooools out for the summer

I went to the kiddos school today for their last day! They didn't do any work, just party. I wonder sometimes why they even make them go, just to say goodbye I guess. I got some pictures with their friends and teachers. The best part of the day was when I heard Brock say to Kenley, "Come on Kenley, I'm gonna go play it." I was wondering, play what and then from the basement I hear him playing Guitar Hero's "Schools out for the summer". I loved it!

Disclaimer: the pictures are really out of order, I don't know why I can't move them.

Finally...

The Nursery... it's DONE... well enough to post some pictures! I feel like I've talked about it so long that it should be something spectacular when in reality it's just a decorated room. So here it is you can judge for yourself...

Now we are ready for her

The question is...

is she ready for us?
